Ritu Kapoor

Ritu Kapoor has a diverse education and work experience. She initially earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in German from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal University in New Delhi. Proficient in four languages, she worked as a technical and simultaneous translator in New Delhi, culminating in a position as simultaneous German translator for Zail Singh, President of India.

After relocating to the United Sates, she earned the degree of Master of Arts in Communications, summa cum laude, from the Pennsylvania State University. She subsequently worked at WMJC, Bloomsburg, as news editor. She was a regular on-air news commentator at WMJC and frequently performed free-lance commentary for a number of regional radio programs.

After a professional hiatus to raise her two children, she moved to New York, shifting her professional interest to television, serving as assistant production manager for News 12 Long Island.

Seeking alternative career challenges, Ritu earned an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design from the Metropolitan Institute of Design, an affiliate of the New York Institute of Design. She is presently engaged as principle of her eponymous design firm, Ritu Interiors, where her focus is creating warm, inviting environments in traditionally sterile commercial space.

Ritu has worked extensively with a variety of local and national charitable organizations.

Ritu is married and has 2 children, and presently resides with her husband on Long Island.
